For this drawing, we had to use a mirror, paper, and pencil to draw ourselves. Before we started the drawing we made a portrait booklet that taught us how to draw hair, nose, eyes, and mouth. It also showed us how we should proportion and color our drawings. So as we were drawing our own portraits we had to look in the mirror and show exactly what we saw, but also had to measure to make sure that everything detail was the right length away. We also had to work on our contour to make sure that you could still see all the different directions in our skin and where our cheekbones are. I had to also pay close attention to make sure that I was drawing what I really saw and not just what I wanted it to look like. Overall I had a really great time getting to draw my self-portrait and think it may be something that I will get more into in the future.
